It's my pleasure to welcome you to the new website. Some very talented people have been working on the design and launch of this site for quite some time now, and i want to take this opportunity to thank them for doing such a great job. We all hope you like it here.
This is the place to find all the latest news on the new record, TV and radio appearances, press and interviews, concert dates, and much much more. I'll also be posting journal entries, including updates and photos from the road as the Listening Booth Tour gets underway.
Something new that's featured here is a gallery of photos and mementos from my own personal archives. Some of this stuff has been sitting in moving boxes for the last 20 years, but it really belongs here i think. There are some cool Kodak moments with heroes, mentors, and friends over the years that I thought you might like to see.
That's it for now. I'm posting a few photos from my latest visit to the NPR show Mountain Stage. It was recorded in front of a live audience in W. Virginia and will air on NPR July 2nd. (Check out http://www.mountainstage.org/mtnstageaffiliates.aspx for local broadcast times). In honor of Listening Booth, Mountain Stage host Larry Groce (shaking my hand) chose Mama Told me Not To Come...a great Randy Newman song, sung by Three Dog Night in 1970, as the shows finale. Standing next to Shane is Israeli poet and singer David Broza...a lovely man and terrific artist. Check it out.
Again, we hope you like the new site and that you'll drop by often.
